Hair Care

HEALTHY HAIR

Healthy, shiny hair will make people stop and look at you in awe. It shows that you're feeling healthy and on top of the world!

EVER HEARD OF 'HAIR FOOD'?

You may have hair problems if you're not getting enough of certain nutrients in your diet. For example, limp or dry hair could be because you're not getting enough biotin, which can be found in nuts, fruits, tomatoes and milk. Drastic hair damage can also happen if you have a eating disorder. So eat right for gorgeous, healthy-looking hair!

PROPER CARE & TREATMENT

Easy tips for hair care:

  • Use the right shampoo for your hair type.
  • Massage gently when washing your hair, rather than scrubbing it.
  • Be gentle with your hair. Don't perm, bleach, blow-dry, straighten, highlight or dye it too much.
  • Protect your hair from too much sun or chlorine water.
  • Eat right, exercise regularly and don't smoke or drink alcohol.
  • If you have hair problems, like hair loss, see a doctor for proper treatment.

Hair Raisers

Myth #1: Applying milk on my hair will make it shinier.

True/False? False. Milk is meant to be drank, not used as 'shampoo'. Eating proper nutritious meals will promote the overall health of your hair.

Myth #2: Taking 'hair treatment' herbs and supplements will make my hair grow healthily.

True/False? False. These products do not promote healthy hair growth. In fact, long-term use of supplements that provide megadoses of vitamins A and E may even cause hair loss.
